Enterprise Commerce solution hybris gains strength with acquisition by SAP
Revealed in June, SAP AG has now completed the acquisition of hybris software. Hybris will operate as an independent business unit under its existing leadership and will continue its commerce technology leadership for both SAP and non-SAP customers and will be known as “hybris, an SAP company”. Currently around 1/3 of hybris customers use other ERP solution than SAP, which makes it necessary to maintain hybris as an independent solution, regardless of which backend solutions a customer uses.
SAP will immediately begin integrating its technologies to hybris, including solutions such as SAP CRM, ERP, HANA, Ariba, and analytics. These additions to hybris product portfolio will help enterprises to manage the full spectrum of customer engagement — across sales, service, marketing and commerce — while maintaining understanding and intimacy through social channels, making hybris an excellent centralized solution for enterprise commerce.
