Server requirements

Below you can find platform requirements for running Workspace. Both Workspace and OpenSyncro can be installed on the same server.

1. Application server

Apache Tomcat 5 or newer
Also supported: JBOSS, Resin

2. Database

MySQL 5.0 or newer
Also supported: PostgreSQL

3. Other server software

JDK 1.4.X or newer
For SSL support JSSE 1.0.2 or higher.

4. Operating system

All operating systems that support JDK 1.4.X, e.g.:

Linux
BSD
Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista
Solaris
Mac OS X

5. Hardware

All hardware platforms that support required operating systems, databases and server software can be used. An example of a small test server:

Intel / AMD Processor 2 Ghz
1 GB of RAM
1 GB of hard disk space

For high loads, high availability and fault tolerance, more sophisticated infrastructure is naturally recommended.
